Foster parents and families are URGENTLY needed. We are based out of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada... so anyone who is in that area (within driving distance) and is interested in fostering for us is encouraged to contact us!
This is what to expect if you are a foster parent:
1) If you have a cage you can use (we prefer a rabbit sized cage for one foster piggie) we will provide you with at least one washable fleece cage liner, drip pads and snuggle sack for your foster piggie.
2) You will need to make sure that the piggy (piggies) in your care receive the food they require, as well as fresh clean water every day. We can provide you with hay and pellets, fresh veggies would need to be provided by you (just a little from your veggies with dinner every day!)
3) You will need to clean their cages (clean up the poops) every day, and if using fleece liners, make sure they are washed at least once a week.
4) You will need to provide lots of love and cuddles!!!
5) If your piggie has not been adopted by the time there is a National Adoption Event at Petsmart (North Whitby Location) it would be helpful if you could bring your foster piggie to the Petsmart location so we can do our best to find a home for him/her!
6) Nail trims and fur trims (if a long haired piggie) would be required as needed - this is part of general health and care.
7) We would expect you to contact us if your situation changes and you are unable to foster anymore, or if you would like to adopt your foster piggie and join the "foster failure" club that we all belong to. :)
