A Note About our Adoption Fees

A NOTE ABOUT OUR FEES

While some may think our fees are high, it should be understood that the adoption fees are not only for your guinea pig, they also serve to assist in the daily care of all the guinea pigs we currently have in foster.

Some animals adopt quickly. Others may spend two or three or more months with us before they find their forever home. We never ever "break even" and our dedicated foster parents invariably spend tens or hundreds of dollars a month feeding the pigs in their care and providing veterinary care as needed.

We thank you for your understanding as we remain resolved in our mission to leave no guinea pig unloved or unhomed.  Thank you.

Forever In Our Hearts

It's bound to happen in any rescue situation, but this is a page to post pictures of piggies in rescue who have fought as hard as they could, but the struggle was just too much.  Hopefully we won't post on this page too often.

Popcorn free over the Rainbow Bridge, little ones.

Bogart - a lovely skinny with a great personality.

Organa (known in her final days as Rosie).  A lovely gir and bestie to Princess Leia (Blossom)

Adoption Process

Our adoption process is quite simple.

1)  Contact us and let us know which piggie (piggies) you are interested in adopting.

2)  We will email you our adoption application form which must be filled out entirely and returned to us.

3)  Upon receipt of your completed (and signed) adoption application and approval of the same, we will let you know if your application has been successful.

4)  If your application has been approved, then the adoption fee (as applicable to the piggie) will be paid.  We accept cash or internet banking transfer.  Generally speaking, our adoption fee is $30 per piggie.

5)  We will then make arrangements for your piggie(s) to either be delivered, or picked up at a time that is mutually convenient!

6)  You get to love on your piggie for the rest of their lives - and that's the best step of all!

Once your piggie(s) are home with you, please note that we will absolutely answer any care questions that you have - feel free to email us and we will respond as soon as we can. :)

We are run solely by volunteers, so you may not get a response immediately.

If however you have a piggie medical emergency, please contact your vet or the local emergency vet clinic.
